Feng Shui Chi

Yin and Yang

The common terms used to describe feng shui chi in a different forms are ‘yin chi’ and ‘yang chi’. More dispersed, cooler and slower is the yin chi, while the yang chi is hotter, faster and more compressed. In short, yin chi resembled the shady side of the mountain and yang chi stood for the sunny side. As yin and yang are complementary and in the opposing sides, that allowed us to get ourselves to connect with everything within our surroundings and environment, be it yin or yang. And because of this, whenever we’re out of sync with our chi, we could decide what steps to take in order to bring ourselves back into the correct balance.

It is perfectly normal for people to have either more yin or yang chi as it is commonly healthy to have that. However, at times, having too much of a certain chi could bring some problems into the lives of the individuals. When that happened, look for the chi that is lacking and which is in excess and take corrective actions to balance them. Just increase the lacking chi and reduce the excessive one.

Natural yin qualities

The characteristics of those who possess a more natural yin chi tend to have eyes that blinks more often. They will have difficulties in making eye contact with another person. In terms of physical built, they will have a face shaped in oval, leaner body frame, larger eyes, fleshy cheeks, full lips, and relatively longer fingers and toes compared to those who have less yin chi.

Gentleness, imaginative, creative, flexible, sensitive and easy going are some of the traits of people who have yin qualities. And those who have more natural yin can become too yin easier compared to slipping into becoming too yang.

Natural yang qualities

People with yang chi will physically look more solid, stockier body frame, and a face that is rounder in comparison to those with the opposite yin chi. And to emphasize more, these people tend to also have lips that are thin, small eyes and their jaw line well-developed.

People who have yang qualities tend to live a more dynamic type of lifestyle besides being more active, precise, alert and focused. And similar to those with yin chi, the people that have more yang chi will not easily fall into being too yin compared to being too yang.
